1 Killed, 1 Injured in Kent Accident

One man was killed and another person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Kent on Saturday. The accident occurred when a 53-year-old man attempting to turn onto North Washington Avenue failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming vehicle. He was killed in the accident. Fortunately, the driver of the other vehicle suffered only minor injuries.

Failing to yield the right of way to other drivers and pedestrians caused 13 percent of Washington’s 119,000 traffic accidents in 2008. These accidents result in severe injuries and even death.
