Baby Ejected from Vehicle in Crash

A baby is in critical condition after being thrown from a van that was rear ended by a suspected drunk driver at the 33400 block of Pacific Highway South at 12 a.m. on Thursday morning. The baby's mother had removed the child from the safety seat for a feeding in the front passenger seat. Both parents were wearing their seat belts and were not injured in the crash. The driver of the vehicle that hit them was taken to the hospital to have her blood drawn to test for the presence of alcohol.

Unfortunately, some of the most tragic Seattle auto accidents involve children that are not properly restrained in child safety seats. This crash is a sad reminder that children must be secured in federally approved child safety seats at all times while riding in a motor vehicle. However, even when properly restrained, children can be seriously injured in a car accident. If your child has been injured in an accident caused by another driver’s negligence, a Seattle accident attorney can help you get full compensation for your child’s injuries.
